OBN Seizes 43 Kilos Of Cocaine

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents have seized 43 kilos of cocaine, street valued at nearly $800,000.

This latest bust is being called the one of the largest in Oklahoma history, by the OBN.

Mark Woodward, Spokesman for the OBN says it was the work of multiple agencies and multiple states that led to the drug bust this past Tuesday, February 28.

According to Woodward, his agency and the Drug Enforcement Administration began working with authorities in New Mexico after receiving a tip that the drugs were heading to Oklahoma.

Woodward said, "New Mexico authorities alerted DEA and OBN that the shipment was on the way."

He says they believe part of the shipment was being stored in Oklahoma while the remainder was destined for locations along the east coast.

During the cocaine bust OBN Agents also seized 50 pounds of marijuana, valued at $75,000.

Arrests have been made, but the names of the suspects have not been released.
