An Enid man has died after being hit by a car while riding a bicycle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 46-year-old David Lee Harrison died early Wednesday from injuries he suffered in the accident Tuesday afternoon.

Troopers say Harrison was riding his bike south on a road near Vance Air Force Base. He was hit from behind by a car driven by 84-year-old Duard Spleth.

Spleth told investigators he looked down to adjust the air conditioning control on his steering wheel when he hit they bicycle.
