The Blue Angels are known for their moves. They twist and turn in the air. There's no doubt the pilots are top notch.
Major Nate Miller, with the Blue Angels, says, "We're just ordinary people doing stuff that's considered extra ordinary."
Mike Gundy, OSU's Head Football Coach, was among the select few chosen to fly with the Blue Angels.
Gundy says, "I'm looking forward to it."
He had a chance first to see another celebrity take off. Thomas Martinez, a rising country music artist, was first up to fly with the Blue Angels.
Gundy says when it comes to flying he doesn't mind the speed but there's one thing he does mind.
"I don't like to turn and do a lot of circles. If we go fast straight ahead that's okay with me," says Gundy.
This special event kicks-off a big event coming up this weekend. The Star Spangled Salute is taking place Saturday and Sunday. It is open to the public. For more information go to http://www.tinker.af.mil/airshow/.
