Brady Brus

Brady Brus, President of Family Broadcasting Group, Inc, is also one of Oklahoma’s most trusted meteorologists. Originally from Mustang, Oklahoma, Brady graduated with his degree in meteorology from the College of Geosciences at the University of Oklahoma. After graduation, Brady went on to work at the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for nearly a decade. During that time, Brady appeared on numerous weather specials airing on The Discovery Channel, National Geographic, TLC, The Weather Channel, Hard Copy, OETA, the British Broadcasting Company, and more. He also implemented various severe weather coverage methods, which continue to be used locally and nationally.

His desire to serve the state of Oklahoma with quality family-friendly programming has translated into his current role as President of Family Broadcasting Group, Inc. Upon leaving the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City in early 2001, Brady formed FBG, Inc. and eventually purchased the KSBI Television Network. A highly sought after commodity, KSBI-TV reaches nearly the entire state of Oklahoma. In addition to the three million watt signal, KSBI is carried on Dish, Direct TV, Cox Cable, Suddenlink Cable, Cable One, Pioneer Cable, and many other cable providers across the state. KSBI-TV also has twelve translator sites across Oklahoma, which enable viewers to tune in to KSBI-TV programming from Tulsa to Elk City and from Ponca City to Lake Texoma,a s well as Wichita, Kansas and WIchita Falls, Texas. KSBI-TV is the only OKC station reaching into Tulsa and as far south as Lake Texoma.

Brady is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters, Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters, Oklahoma Media Network, and the American Meteorology Society. He is also called upon as an expert witness in litigation matters from time to time.

Since Family Broadcasting Group, Inc. took over ownership of KSBI-TV in March, 2004, the station has been recognized for its services in promoting Oklahoma Allied Arts-Advancement of the Arts. Also, KSBI-TV was chosen to receive the 2004 American Legion Honor for Patriotic Programming. KSBI-TV has also become heavily involved in the Oklahoma Buddy Walk benefiting families of children with Down Syndrome. Additionally, Family Broadcasting Group, Inc. has given thousands of dollars to local and national charities.

Most recently Brady received the prestigious “OKC BUSINESS Forty Under 40 Award” (for the year 2004), which recognizes Oklahoma City's high achievers in business and community service.

Since taking ownership, FBG, Inc. has, among other things, secured the rights to post season High School Sports in Oklahoma, launched new local programming, become the first station in Oklahoma to issue weather crawls in both English and Spanish, unveiled the first StateCam Network in Oklahoma, launched a new highly interactive website (www.ksbitv.com), secured the rights to live SEC football and basketball (including the entire SEC tournament), and secured the rights to air K.C. Royals baseball.

Brady is also the Founder and President of Foundation for Family Television, a charitable company developed for the purposes of developing family friendly programming for the state of Oklahoma and television stations across the nation. The company also devotes funds to training individuals in the development and production of family friendly programming.

Brady, his wife Angie, and three boys reside in Piedmont, Oklahoma and attend church in northwest Oklahoma City.
